Tips On How To Demonstrate Your Love

You love someone, do you really have to show them how much you love them? Don't they just know exactly how you feel about them? Maybe they do but its unlikely. Well unless they are a mind reader that is. Why is that? Because oftentimes we let our actions speak for us and our intention isn't always as clear to others as it is to us.

What is love? Love is so many things - its about having an affinity with someone to the extent that you want to share or occupy the same space, its about admiration, respect, concern, desire - and it means different things to different people. Loving and being loved is one of the joys of life. It can soothe pain, provide support in difficult times, make the good times fantastic, provide a solid foundation for life, instil confidence, change a mood, inspire creative pursuits, create excitement. There are many great works in the world - music, art, poetry, buildings, books, amazing feats of human endurance - that are inspired by and created in the name of love. The one thing that all these creations and events have in common is that they provide pleasure to others. But not only that, the person creating them received something too - they were able to feel proud and fulfilled at being able to express themselves fully.

Kahli Gibran believed that 'The giving and receiving of pleasure is a need and an ecstasy.' Why then wouldn't you want to let your loved ones know exactly how you feel about them when letting them know could give you so much pleasure?

So how can you make it clear to them?
It isn't just about telling them that you love them although that is part of it. You can be loving through words, either written or spoken, or actions. Just make sure that whatever way you choose you leave them in no doubt about how you really feel.

Don't feel that you have to accomplish some publicly recognized feat to demonstrate how much you love marriage and your beloved. Instead focus on the small acts of love you can do more regularly. Things like a loving text message especially if you know they've had a bad day, a love letter reminding them of when you met and how blessed you feel that you came together, or try giving them compliments (you could tell them that you love the way they think, or the way they perceive things, or the way they present themselves, or the kindness they show around strangers) or picking up small treats like flowers or their favorite magazine.
